The wedding ceremony is the formal part of your wedding event where the vows are exchanged. The ceremony should take place at the same location as the reception so guests do not have to travel and get lost.
Many couples prefer a church wedding and others prefer and outside park like setting. Ministers will do the ceremony at any location.
Make sure you start of by selecting your location around a date that suites your plans. This is the most critical arrangement in your whole wedding plan. All the other vendors can be arranged around that.
Process
Ceremony venue prepared by hotel/wedding venue
Having your event at a hotel will facilitate your guests' travel arrangements
You can get rooms to dress and prepare
DJ sets up second sound system and plays classical background music as guests arrive and take their seats
A special song is requested for the entrance of the bridal party and parents of the couple.
You select your special song -the Wedding March is most popular
The ceremony could include:
Roses to the mothers (optional)
Lighting of the candles (optional)
Communion by Wedding Couple (optional)
Special performance of live music piece (optional)
DJ requests guests to follow a predesignated person to the reception hall for cocktails while pictures are taken
